In our candid conversation, we talk about her journey as child of mixed race and ethnicity! I personally resinate with this story as a black woman who is Latinx. I identify as Garifuna which is how I was brought up culturally, my family is from Honduras and in addition to hearing Garifuna as a child I also speak Spanish like Tasha. That cross between race and ethnicity can be challenging and take on an emotional toll thats makes one question where do I fit in?
